6. Operating with different versions of database schemas.

Q: I'll be upgrading my applications and the database schema will be changing. Can I operate with different versions of schemas?

A: when companies deploy new releases to an application, either by plan or by other circumstances, not all users will upgrade to the new release at the same time. This means that there will be different versions of the database schema in incoming synchronization messages.

Using SyncSmart's centralized administration tool (sync admin), administrators can easily configure a message server to recognize the version of a database schema in a synchronization message and automatically map or upgrade the message to the corresponding version of the database into which it is to be imported. This process is similar to the way ms office products, such as word, upgrade documents saved under older versions
